Exciting! This is my first time trying out a palette by Tarte. The reason I bought this palette was simple, I had my eyes on Tarte for a while, and when I bumped into this mini-palette online, I knew it was perfect to take with me when I head to work or go out.
Apparently this is a pocket sized version of the Tartelette In The Bloom Palette.Just a great way to get introduced to the brand Tarte. (Or should I just say I just needed an excuse to buy more make up?)
The palette has mostly neutral colors, nothing spectacular, but great for a smokey eye or a simple neutral every day look.
I love the size and the packaging. It’s cardboard, but strong enough to survive in my every day bag. Colourful, compact and a nice sized mirror. Even better, the eyeshadow pans are still a decent size too.
The shadows are fairly pigmented and easy to work with. There are 4 mattes, 1 satin, and 1 shimmer. They’re quite smooth and ‘creamy’, which unfortunately can cause quite a bit of fallout. Especially the shimmer shade, caused some glitter fallout, but nothing too bad. Easily fixable with a little sweep.
The colors are nice, from neutral to rose and pink and love the purple/plum. Great shades to mix and match with other palettes and eyeshadows. The eyeshadow palette has an amazing vanilla scent!
Top: Whisper (light matte pink) Crush (taupe shimmer/glitter) Heartbreaker (matte dark brown)
Bottom: Wink (light mauve) First Kiss (mauve satin/shimmer) BFF (matte plum)
Swatches! From Left to Right: Whisper, Crush, Heartbreaker, Wink . First Kiss and BFF
I’m a sucker for packaging, looooove the gold! Really happy to add this Tarte Tartelette Tease palette to my collection. A great eyeshadow palette for on the go, to create a simple neutral look or just a quick touch up.
I created a simple look with all six shadows:
What’s your favorite travel palette?
Let me know what you think of the palette and of course the look I created in the comments!
